Fibreglass Sheeting

The external walls and the roof will be built from 45mm fibreglass sheet which is used to build refrigerated vehicles. It is held together in the corners by a special aluminium extrusion which is glued together and riveted. It has internal "H" beams of fibreglass every 300mm to add strength and rigidity.

The internal walls are made from 20mm fibreglass sheet but in a honeycomb format, so not much insulating compared to the outside walls.

The roof is also going to be made from the 45mm sheeting, so that should keep the heat out in summer and the warmth in in winter.
