Next easy job is installing the gas cooker and kitchen sink, being a pretty simple couple of cuts in the stainless steel bench top to get them fitted.
We've got a little 2 burner Miele gas cooktop for our inside cooker. With limited bench space, it seemed extravagant to have a 4 burner cooker, and I'm sure we'll have no trouble getting by with 2.
Can't believe how "hard" stainless steel is to cut. It is only 1.6mm thick, but it takes as much effort to cut as 3mm or 4mm mild steel. My jigsaw blade got a bit of smoke up cutting out the cooker hole!
I'm not sure which side the sink should go on, so I am going to defer that job until tomorrow and start thinking about how the 9Kg gas cylinders will be stored in the outside storage box. Am planning on fitting 3 of them, but we'll see how much space is available.....
I'll finish off this post when I get the sink installed.
